Cleaning tips to keep your appliances in perfect condition

Appliances are fundamental elements in our home, making our lives easier in our daily tasks. To ensure optimal performance and prolong their useful life, it is important to keep them clean and in good condition. Here are some cleaning tips to keep your appliances in perfect condition:

  1. Fridge:
    • Regularly clean trays and shelves with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Don't forget to remove the food before doing so.
    • Clean the door seals with a toothbrush and a solution of water and baking soda to remove any accumulated residue.
    • Defrost and clean the freezer periodically to prevent ice buildup and maintain good air circulation.
  2. Washing machine:
    • Clean the drum and detergent compartments regularly. Use a damp cloth and a white vinegar and water solution to remove residue and odors.
    • Perform empty wash cycles with white vinegar or baking soda to disinfect and remove possible accumulations of dirt.
    • Clean the lint and drain filters regularly to prevent clogs and improve performance.
  3. Dishwasher:
    • Clean the filters and spray arm regularly to ensure proper operation. Remove any food debris and unclog the holes in the spray arm with a fine wire.
    • Use a dishwasher cleaner monthly to remove grease and limescale residue.
    • Wipe the door seals and interior with a damp cloth to prevent the build-up of dirt and odors.
  4. Oven:
    • Clean spills and stains inside the oven as soon as possible to prevent them from burning and becoming more difficult to remove.
    • Use a solution of water and baking soda to remove grease and odors. Let the paste sit for a few minutes before rubbing it gently with a cloth.
    • Clean grills and gas burners in hot water with mild detergent. Make sure to dry them completely before putting them back.
  5. Microwave:
    • Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and a white vinegar and water solution to remove stains and odors.
    • Wash the turntable and stand in hot water with mild detergent. Dry them completely before replacing them.
    • Avoid using abrasive cleaning products that may damage the interior surface.
  6. Coffee maker:
    • Clean the carafe, filter and portafilter after each use to prevent residue build-up and improve the taste of your coffee.
